Quick-Anonymizer - Anonymization of personal data
for IBM i (AS/400)

What is data anonymization or data masking?

Data anonymization is the process of irreversibly transforming personal data to prevent the dissemination of private information by users accessing the transformed data. It ensures that personal and private data, once transformed, cannot be untransformed and traced back, thereby preventing a malicious user from accessing the original information.

      anonymisation des données

The Quick-Anonymizer solution is conceived and designed to anonymize personal data in the IBM i environment (AS/400). Quick-Anonymizer allows you to irreversibly protect specific personal information when transferring it to another IBM i system (located within your company or at a third-party location). This is incredibly useful when the data is no longer hosted on your IBM i production system or when the data will be shared by your development team in a non-production setting.

This ensures that you retain your customers’ trust and protect your company’s reputation, while meeting the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), applicable as of 25 May 2018. You should know that failure to comply with GDPR can lead to heavy financial penalties of up to 4% of global turnover.

  How does it work?

       anonymisation IBM i - AS400

Quick-Anonymizer offers you a range of anonymization techniques including the substitution technique. This enables you to transmit data from an IBM i production system to another IBM i system so that, for example, you can create and validate test sets with real data, but without factual private information such as full name, address, telephone, etc.

Our anonymization software will replace personal data with other values unrelated to the original data while keeping the data consistent after the anonymization process. It replaces source data with data of the same format, length and type (with random substitutes for names, telephone numbers, etc.). This type of anonymization is perfectly compatible for realistic tests, acceptance testing, user training, statistical analyzes, etc., as it retains the original structure and form of the information.

Our Quick-Anonymizer software lets you convert data on the production machine in real time or on a scheduled basis to anonymous data before transmitting them to another IBM i system; the actual data never leaves your secured production server. This is essential to note that Quick-Anonymizer transforms the data in-house and then transmits the data thereby protecting your users from malicious network intrusions.
